こちらは、1950年代から1960年代にかけて製造された貴重なビンテージセルロイド万年筆。
終戦を迎えた70年程前、かつて日本の下町などでたくさんのセルロイド工場や加工場があった時代、
そういった工房で凄腕の職人さんが、ハンドメイドで仕上げた万年筆、
今回ご紹介するのは、そんな過去の貴重な万年筆をレストアしたものです。

職人さんの工房で保管されていた数少ないセルロイド万年筆を、彼の手によって
少しずつレストアしていただきながら、そしてその手法を教えていただきながら
出来上がったもの、譲ってもらったものです。
約半世紀の間、大事に保管されていたとしても、メンテナンスは必要なコンディションでした。
その為、その職人の指導の下、ひとつひとつ古い部品を取り換え、ニブの調整をするなど、
共同でメンテンナンスを行いました。

＜レストアを行うにあたり…＞

ペン先選び、ペン芯とペン先がマッチしないと書けません。
（昔の万年筆は、パーツが手作りなので、一つ一つ適したものを合わせていきます。）
当時のペン先は、適合させて温度をかけて、緩めたり固定したりする必要があります。
筆記ができる状態にするまで多くの手がかかりますが、当時の職人さんが作ったペン先、
日本人が日本人の技術で日本の漢字を書くために研ぎだしたペン先になります。

今回出品のペン先はEF（極細）です。
日本製ニブのペン先をお楽しみください。

インクの吸入方式は【バルブ式】です。
構造的には1809年イギリスで、軸後部のバルブを開いて軸内に貯蔵したインキを
ペン部に送るバルブ式のものが発明されたのが最初だそうです。
その記述内に、
「以後、同年に軸を指で押してインキを出すものが考案され、これをファウンテンペン
fountain penと名づけた」とありましたので、万年筆の歴史において最も基礎になる
古い吸入方式なのかもしれません。
中のチューブの部分をスポイトのように複数回絞ることで、インクが充填されます。
こちらもゆっくりとその操作を行ってください。

＜セルロイドの魅力＞
素材はセルロイド、
角度によって、次々と色味をかえるセルロイドは、まるで光が瞬いているようにも見えます。
また、滑らかな肌触りのセルロイドは、しっとりとした質感と
程よい重さをもっているので、本当に心地よいホールディングを堪能いただけます。
ボディサイズは、手の平に収まるサイズで、こじんまりとして見えますが、
当時日本から海外に輸出されていた万年筆の一般的サイズであり、
文豪たちが使う太軸万年筆ではありませんが、本当の実用サイズだと考えられます。
大きな万年筆に見慣れた今見ると、とてもかわいい万年筆に見えます。

Issue of Authenticity: If antique or branded goods are found to be counterfeit upon receipt, clear photos showing the differences between the genuine product and the imitation must be provided as evidence. 2. Leaking Iron Teapot: If an antique iron teapot is leaking, please take clear photos of the leaking area and provide them.
